[attr="class","gotta10"] [attr="class","gotta12"] I NEVER MEANT TO TAKE IT THIS FAR | |
THOUGH WE STILL STAY UP ALL NIGHT, THE MORNINGS AREN'T QUITE AS BRIGHT After spending quite a bit of his time in the Ruins of Alph, Zernebog decided that a break was in order before the sheer monotony of studying the ruins with the old guys drove him mad or suck the fun youthful energy from his body and make him boring. Well, he knew that those old men couldn’t actually do that but spending long periods of time with such stifling company tended to chafe for a person like him after a while. He needed a breath of fresh air both literally and figuratively. This was why he had ventured out north into the route that was connected to the northern entrance of the Ruins of Alph. He had already explored the other entrance and its surroundings and made himself familiar with it so now it was time for him to extend the same courtesy to the other side. So far, this other side was filled with much foliage and wildlife. Unlike in the other side, these wildlife did not bother to accost him and his companions - his Torchic Ra and his honedge Was- so it was already a good start. He could attempt to hunt down and challenge the wildlife later once he got his relaxation and breather. He just hoped that the two wouldn’t pick a fight before then, otherwise he might have to let out Isis too to calm these two down. Adamant and Sassy do not mix well unless they’re united against a common enemy after all. As he walked, he wondered who he might encounter in the area as he hadn’t seen humans around yet. It was odd but it was also nearing dusk and most of the travelers would have started bunkering down in towns, cities, or tents for the night unless they preferred to travel in the dark for whatever reason. SOMETIMES I WONDER WHY I NEED YOU AT ALL The trainer coming from the ruins wasn't the only one out and about at the time; coming from the Goldenrod side of the route, one had an easier time since the road kept to a civilized sort and a clearer path at the start. Of course, it refused to stay that way; once one was out of sight of the route checkpoints, you were swallowed up by the wilderness that tried to overtake the trio of cities surrounding it. With Goldenrod, Ecruteak, and Violet all around the area, it was more impressive to Ferris that this place managed to remain as rough as it was. This certainly was like her home; back in Orre, everything was rough and overgrown with dust. Certain parts of that region had the greens and blues of life, but only after mankind and Pokemon had given sweat and blood to ensure it would work out. Thinking of home didn't sit well with Ferris. She wasn't one to dwell like that, she had the here and now to focus on. Looking around and seeing nothing, Ferris gave a low whistle, and in a short moment the Mudkip she had been seeking popped back out. The water-type gave a yip of happiness and ran in circles around her. "Alright, Captain, stay close. No need getting lost." The Mudkip heard her, of course, and immediately did what the little guy thought was best: barked out more noise and bolted forward into the underbrush. Great. Ferris stood still for a moment to try and ignore the obvious disinterest in being an obedient Pokemon before moving to follow. The Mudkip would be the first to stumble upon new persons of interest; namely, by jumping from the brush and barking out at the Torchic and Honedge it had discovered. More Pokemon! New Pokemon! Captain had no idea who they were but they were here, and so the Mudkip investigated the only way it knew how; getting too close and too personal.
