SOMETIMES I WONDER
WHY I NEED YOU AT ALL The Mudkip scurried ahead of their trainer, practically hopping with its four-limbed walk as it explored the area around it. One moment, the little one was peering into the nearby grass; the next, it was rolling into the dirt-road beneath it, getting a nice coating of brown dust that it shook off. With what was as close to a bark as the creature could create, it excitedly wagged its tail-fin, staring at its owner. The trainer in question - Ferris - was keeping a steady pace behind, walking with intent. She had been keeping to the Goldenrod area for now, since having arrived in this area; it was familiar to her hometown, and her Mudkip had plenty of room for these walks. She didn't want to push it; she hadn't done any training with her partner since they arrived in Johto. It was probably about time to do something about that. Ferris paused in her step, looking around her as the water-type yipped at her. There was a sizeable path off the main road that seemed to be almost overgrown with grass in sections. It would make for a good spot to find some of the local wildlife and use it as a learning opportunity for one of her two Pokemon. She pointed for her Mudkip to see and began to push forward into the new turf. "Alright, Captain. Find yourself a sparring partner. We're going to work on those newer attacks you learned," she started, continuing on in a quiet tone, "or I can have Arthuria get used to working with you, if you'd prefer..." Not like it made a huge difference. Both of them needed a good work-out, and something out here was going to provide it. @tagged |
