[attr="class","nabody"]Wiping his nose with the back of his hand, the albino man licked the blood that pooled on it with a sadistic smile stretched across his face. He stood across a rather large man in a small dirty arena surrounded by other sailors shouting and hollering with money in their hands waiving around as they placed bets among themselves on the fight. I call whatever the bid is on myself, boys. He called out cooly, an arrogant grin just teasing his opponent.
The fight went on for just a little longer, and Cedric barely stood victorious of the two. Winning a rather large pot of money seeing as he was the underdog in this battle of humans. Stuffing his coat with a large wad of cash, he shuffled off to the nearest bar to drown his pain with a few well deserved drinks. His face was bloodied and bruised, not all the blood belonged to him. he was certain his nose was broken from the sound of whistling it did, and reached up to check.. yup, the thing was in the wrong place on his face and quick a quick motion involving his thumb and index, he popped it back into place.
Nothing feels better than a cold drink after a good fight I say! If it was okay for pokemon to fight, than he should too. it was only natural anyways, he wasn't a coward who would constantly hide behind his teammates, he would prove that sometimes he could fight his own battles despite their willingness to help.

[attr="class","much_text"] ◥◤ Nori stared out at the surrounding area by the bar, her cigarette hanging awkwardly out of her mouth. Every few minutes she would passively take a drag off of it and flick it with her tongue to ash it to the side of the book she was reading, running her fingers along the lines of text. This was the most boring in-field mission ever, and she just wanted to get back to her labs and fuck around with some of the new tech. [break][break] When she was finished the page she was on, she flipped it and bookmarked it quickly, glancing up at the sky as it started to open up and rain a couple of meters away from where she was standing. It moved like a straight line, passing over the trees and route like it was some sort of forest-clearing machinery. [break] "Fuck." She sighed as the rain started to pass over her, holding her hand over her cigarette as she took a long drag off of it, pushing up the glasses she had been using to read the book. [break][break] "This fucking suuuuucks." She groaned and leaned back against the bar. Her partner had run off to have sex with some guy upstairs in the bar, so she was just down here waiting for her to be finished, or until she needed a room. Either way, it seemed like she was going to be spending the night at this little tavern. [break][break] When she glanced up again, still being soaked in the pouring rain for the sake of a cigarette, she spotted someone coming towards the tavern, looking rather triumphant. Clearly the rain hadn't hit him, yet. He looked familiar, though... Was that Cedric from work? The white hair was pretty unmistakable...

[attr="class","nabody"]With his Ranger uniform jacket hanging lazily in two fingers over his shoulder, the rain that began to pour didn't phase the albino at all. Hair fell onto his face and he completely ignored it, the only thing on his mind at the time was purely a repetition of one word; beer. Come to think of it, a song slowly came to mind, and the serious almost cool and calm collected ranger broke into a song. What is the malted liquor. BEER! What gets you drunker quicker? What comes in bottles or in cans? BEER! and he continued, marching through the rain with a smile on his face, getting obviously more excited as he saw the bar approaching from the distance.
Once he was close enough to the place, he slipped on the coat despite it being soaking wet from the rain - even though he knew the owner, they wouldn't let him in shirtless. Putting in his last arm, he looked up and saw someone he didn't expect at that moment, next to the door. Hm? What are you doing here Nori? Most Rangers used last names or at least a comrade's full first name when addressing each other, Cedric had the bad habit and was known through HQ to use nicknames instead. Not to be chummy, or to be rude really, despite it coming off as rude from time to time - he was just too lazy to remember someone's name fully and nicknames were just easier.
Too young and they kicked you out? Here, I'll sneak you in - hop into my jacket. He teased, knowing very well she was above drinking age, but still; pulling aside one of flaps of his coat inviting her to come in. Cedric was one of the few Rangers who didn't have a partner, mostly because he just didn't get along with anyone long enough for them to stay. Since graduation, he had gone through a dozen partners and right now he was on his own (just as he liked it)
[attr="class","much_text"] ◥◤ Nori raised her eyebrows and listened to the chorus of music that was erupting from the one-person band. He really had no shame. It was a bit admirable, really - him singing about beer in the pouring rain, with no shirt on, and swinging his Ranger uniform around like it was a 50-cent g-string at a strip club. She chuckled when he came up to her and tilted her head at him. [break][break] Not much for formalities, Cedric used her casual nickname as he addressed her, and Nori just took a long drag of her cigarette as he talked, watching him put his coat back on over his bare chest. She blew the smoke off in no particular direction before smirking at him casually as he spoke about her age. Of course she would take it as a compliment. In her own mind, she was already 60-years-old. Anything less, she would take it. [break][break] "Mmm." Nori reached out with her free hand, the one that had been covering her cigarette, and pressed a single finger to his bare chest, pushing him backwards. "I've already been in. Maybe next time." She chuckled at his comment about sneaking her in under his jacket, before thumbing back to the door. "Parsons is in there getting her jollies with some random. She compromised our mission, again, so... Here I am." She gestured to herself in all her soaking-wet glory, her civvies sticking to her skin like fly paper. Not much was left to the imagination in terms of what was underneath her blue t-shirt and shorts, although she was glad it was summertime or the rain would be rather cold on all that bare skin. [break][break] "What about you, Preüss?" She tossed her cigarette onto the ground, watching it fizzle out in the damp soil. "Ceddy messed up his last partner again?" She chuckled. The stories were actually pretty funny, and Nori honestly didn't find him that bad... Parsons was much worse, in her mind.
[attr="class","nalyrics"]Pretending to be strong saying I'm not afraid of anything
[attr="class","nabody"]Hmm? And you're not joining her? He eyeballed when she pushed against his chest - and just like any other man who thought himself more masculin than any other average dude, he flexed his muscle just enough so it didn't feel soft to the touch. Compromised huh? Maybe I'll be the one to clean your mess up. He leaned in teasingly, a sharp grin spreading across his paladin face, ruby eyes twinkling with mischief. The clean up crew, he didn't mind it, it mostly meant that he got the more interesting missions that most didn't want to deal with - or people who just blew their cover. Which was less exciting.
Why don't you find some tail too then? You may as well have some fun too while you wait. It didn't make much sense to him why she would choose to stand out here in the rain rather than have some fun times like her partner was - but that was Cedric's angle on things no matter what it was. I mean with what you have going on, you'd get a catch pretty easily. He had no shame in eyeing what the woman was showing, the outline of her curves was quite flattering in the cling of the rain. Purposely making it obvious that he had ran his eyes up and down her figure to accent his words.
His eyes snapped back up to her face, Hm? Oh, I guess. he shrugged, feeling the chill of his jacket's zipper against his skin, it gave him goosebumps on contact. They really should find me a proper partner. One who won't bitch and moan about my methods. Seriously, sometimes Cedric believed they were trying to get him to babysit some hatchling ranger who didn't know how to boil an egg without worrying to over cook it. It's better this way anyways. Yes he did, partners were so annoying so far he wanted just to be alone on missions, not be held back or have someone try to have him re-think his plan of action all the time.
He turned his head to the bar's door, his mouth salivating with the thought of beer and yet he was stuck here talking to Nori. Ugh. She was quite pleasing to the eye, but he wanted a drink so badly. Signature Cedric, he didn't think twice and reached out to grab her arm with a firm grip and drag her into the bar if she didn't struggle too much. Come, I want a drink. he never thought anything through - it was probably going to be awkward in the bar with Nori, but really, he just wanted to stare at you know... everything for a little longer while enjoying a brewski.
[attr="class","much_text"] ◥◤ Nori couldn't help but laugh at his assumption that she didn't join them by choice. No, she was just shallow and didn't want to sleep with someone who seemed like he could be her father. So she stated so, in a rather droll tone. [break] "Mm, it's not that. All the men in there are just either ugly or old. Or both. Parsons will sleep with anything that has a dick. I'm more into, y'know." Nori shrugged her shoulders gently, trying to think of a good word. "A nice body." She finished. [break][break] When he grasped her arm to pull her into the bar, she didn't put up much protest, actually sliding her arm free and locking her hand into his with a great big grin on her face. [break] "Oh? Will you buy me a drink, too?" She bounced along behind him and pulled her glasses free of her face, tucking them into the front of her t-shirt. Her other hand held the book she had been reading, but she tucked it into her back pocket, looking up to him with a cute pouting smile on her face. Truth be told, she wasn't expecting him to just grab her like that, so a part of her, deep down, had sent a rush of blood to her face, causing her to tinge pink-red as he dragged her into the dim light of the bar. [break][break] "What're you going to have?" She flattened out her shirt and flapped it a bit to help it dry, feeling it slap against her skin with a hollow slapping sound that resonated in the small tavern. It sort of sounded like... Well, something very un-PG13. "I'm thinking about a bourbon."
[attr="class","nalyrics"]Pretending to be strong saying I'm not afraid of anything
[attr="class","nabody"]He stopped for a moment when she talked about her partner, and put on a pensive pace. Looking up at the corner of his eye before turning with a grin to nori in a matter of seconds. If that's the case, remind me to get phone number later. he winked. Easy tail was always fun every now and then, no strings attached, who cares if they were work partners, he could always avoid her while heading out on missions if he had to. Well maybe someday I should have you judge if I qualify for your standards. he laughed teasingly before continuing on into the bar, getting a seat on a stool at the long bar table and singled the bar tender over.
Hmmm maybe. I'll decide later, when paying the tab. He gave her a sideways glance, a sly smile tickling his lips in a seductive grin. I'll have a Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier. He waited to see what kind of drinks Nori was into. Turning on his stool just enough to face her and continue on watching the shirt just slowly dry, tracing her collar bones with his eyes. So you're a picky one huh? I guess that's alright. He blatantly just stated, Nothing wrong with a woman who knows what she likes. Once his beer arrived, he took a sip of the german beer - it was greatly appreciated once the hoppy taste hit his tongue. So refreshing.
With restless fingers he poked at the label of the beer bottle with his fingers and nails, ripping at the paper every now and then.
[attr="class","much_text"] ◥◤ While Cedric sat down, Nori took a seat next to him on the nearest stool, making sure she was facing him and not any of the other men staring at her breasts blatantly in the bar. She rolled her eyes as the bartender tried to get her number, before flipping him off and taking her drink from him without so much as a second glance. She was already fixated on Cedric. [break][break] "You really want her number? She so... Clingy, though." Nori scrunched her nose at him and tilted her head, taking a soft sip of her drink, lips puckering around the glass as her tongue flicked the bitter liquid back into her throat. Her teeth came together in a short hiss, before placing the drink down on the bar, hand over top of it. [break][break] "Based on looks alone, you'd beat out everyone in here, including myself." Nori rolled her eyes and took another slow sip of her drink, before looking him up and down. "Are you offering to be my midnight tryst?" She laughed gently and waggled her eyebrows at his fancy-named drink, which was just some sort of import beer. "I might take you up on that, too." She downed the rest of her drink.
[attr="class","nalyrics"]Pretending to be strong saying I'm not afraid of anything
[attr="class","nabody"]Shrugging as she talked about her companion - If she's easy, why not? He said simply. Clingy or not, a night or two was always welcome, most women would just steam off after they find out how much he is not interested in a anything more with them than just whats in the bed. No marriage, no commitment of any kind. What would make this one any different?
Taking a sip of his drink, with little grace to it as any man would have when it comes to alcohol, he rested the bottle back down on the counter just to continue ripping at the bottle with teasing fingers. A bright smile tracing his lips as she spoke, teasing as his brilliant pearls just barely shone under the drapes of his lips. Do you really think that? How flattering. He rested his head on his free hand, leaning in a little toward his co-worker with half lidded eyes. The blues that dotted his red eyes were more visible at this time.
Well I am now since apparently I have more luck in it than any other being in here. But I don't know now... If I'm supposedly out of your league, perhaps I should find someone more on my level. He continued on teasing, prodding at her previous words, even straightening in his chair and taking a look around the dimly lit tavern as if to find some fresh ass that he could take home. Honestly he had no interest in anyone else at this time, he just wanted to see if she was the jealous type.
He cocked a brow when she finished her drink already. Your a lush, hm.
[attr="class","much_text"] ◥◤ Nori stared at Cedric as he peered around the bar a couple of times, seeing if it would rile her up. Why would she care if he wanted to get his nut with some random bimbo in the corner of a dark, scuzzy, tavern-inn? She frowned and quirked an eyebrow, raising her fingers to order herself another drink. [break] "Out of your league? Ouch. I gave you a compliment, the least you could do is return the favour." She knocked him in the arm gently with one of her fists, before rolling her eyes. [break][break] "You are most certainly welcome to try." Nori leaned closer and pointed out, close enough that he could probably smell the sweet sweat and rain that still stuck to her skin and clothes as they dried, the faintest scent of her shampoo still lingering on her hair, from being wet all over again. "She looks like an interesting one." She motioned to literally the most ugly waitress in the bar - one that really could pass for a man in drag - before leaning back in her seat, raising her eyebrows. [break][break] While she waited for his reaction, she sipped at her drink again, crossing her legs to the opposite side they had already been crossed in. Soon she would need to grab herself a room so she could wring herself out and prepare for tomorrow, and hopefully not blow another mission with her stupid partner.
[attr="class","nalyrics"]Pretending to be strong saying I'm not afraid of anything
[attr="class","nabody"]Heh, now why would I do such a thing? shrugging, he kept smiling shouldn't accepting the compliment be good enough? he was half way through his beer at this time, taking his time drinking instead of chugging it all down in one go. he liked to saver the taste after all, the moment. perhaps he will chug it all down the moment it wasn't cold anymore, and then go for his second. cedric chuckled as she hit his arm, a little feisty huh? how charming...
looking over to the "interesting one" the young Nori pointed out, on the inside the man cringed at the sight. she wouldn't so bad if she was graced with a bag. he winked at Nori playfully while placing his lips on the rim of his beer to drink a bit again, his tongue being the first to touch the glass in a subtle provocative gesture aimed to the brunette who accompanied him.
is that an actual invitation? he could definitely smell the rain clinging to her hair, he wondered if he smelled the same for a moment, despite him putting cologne on this morning... did that stick around, or was it replaced with the watery aroma of rain? he was certain of one thing, his breath did smell like beer, and that's probably his primary stench at this given moment. with one hand on his bottle, he used his free hand to sleek back his wet hair lazily, in places it stuck up awkwardly but at least it was out of his eyes, and that was all that mattered. because if it is, i should start planning our night.
[attr="class","much_text"] ◥◤ Nori smirked when Cedric drank at his beer, the subtle way his tongue touched the amber liquid first before pouring it gently down his throat. She licked her lips and took a equally as gentle sip of her own drink, now savouring the taste rather than chugging it now. She placed her glass down gently on the coaster that had been set on the bar by the bartender when he served her her new drink. [break][break] When he spoke about the other woman, she couldn't help but laugh at him, a full-body-shaking laugh that made her roll her eyes. She sighed to herself and pushed her own hair back while she watched him eye her, asking her if she was making an offer. When he suggested he should start planning their night, she grinned at him and tilted her head. [break][break] "Oh yeah? What would you have us do, then, Cedric?" She leaned closer and rested her cheek in the palm of her hand, drumming her fingers against her cheek and temple, watching him even more intently. This was turning out to be an even more interesting night than she had originally thought.
[attr="class","nalyrics"]Pretending to be strong saying I'm not afraid of anything
[attr="class","nabody"]When she mimicked him, it was then that he knew he had her. It was a classic sign that a woman or even a man was interested in you, the mimic and he was keen on noticing it when it came around. he couldn't help but smirk at the sight. Courtship was an art after all, many thought of it to be like hunting, but Cedric saw it otherwise. Only the skilled could hunt, but anyone can paint a picture with enough finesse and patience. A skilled artist however, was a master, and could paint anything in a short amount of time; and that was Cedric.
She laughed and so did he, less extravagantly but he chuckled along side her none the less. His multicoloured eyes remaining on the woman to now give her his full attention, his shoulders square to her body and legs in her direction as well. Hmm... he quirked a brow at her question.Anything you want. was his response. a usual guy thing to say to please the woman and was often seen as weak - but; seeing as I don't know you well enough, we might be skipping a few of the courtship steps that normally indicate what type of woman you might be... I'll let you take the reigns this time. he explained. Typically the man takes the lead, or at least the dominant of the two does if it is a homosexual relationship, but he didn't want to scare or bore her away if he didn't do what his partner wanted on the first night.
First impressions were everything after all. He'd take the lead once he had a better idea... he gives himself five minutes before he figures that out. Once I get a better idea, I promise it'll be one hell of a night. Finally he reached out to touch her leg, a little daring, yes, perhaps a little too far - but already he was testing her out to see what type of person she was. He was careful to read her body language and pull back immediately, smoothly, but immediately to relieve tension.
[attr="class","much_text"] ◥◤ Nori laughed and sighed softly at him as he explained why he wanted her to talk more, so he could get a better idea of what she wanted. She knew this play, but she wasn't totally against it. In fact, she quite enjoyed the thrill of his chase. Soon enough he'd be whisking her off, knowing exactly what she wanted. That's what seasoned pick-up artists did; they observed, perfected, and executed their plans. She was like that in some ways. [break][break] "I don't know if you'd be able to handle what I want." She said quietly, a little more seriously. She was into things - things most men weren't into unless they knew the person really well. Of course, she could rock their world the normal way, but she liked other things to keep it all interesting. Most partners she had ran away once things got heavy; some stayed, but not for very long. She hadn't had a relationship past 3 months, and she was sure that Cedric wasn't looking for anything like that, anyway. [break][break] When he touched her leg, Nori just smiled and tilted her head at him, waiting for what he would do next. Was he brave enough to take on her sexual exploits in the run-down tavern that she had sort of sworn not to have sex in, based on the fact that her partner and her little man-candy were so... Vanilla, in comparison to her. Hopefully Cedric wasn't the type to shy away. [break] "Well?"
[attr="class","nalyrics"]Pretending to be strong saying I'm not afraid of anything
[attr="class","nabody"]he waited for a response, patient, observing her body as actions spoke far louder than words. The smallest of actions would indicate if she truly was comfortable with his advances or if she was all talk and needed things to slow down. None of that was evident, so far it was smooth sailing. When she spoke, he gave her leg a squeeze while his eyes remained locked on hers, grinning the whole time while leaning in a little closer, to the point they were almost nose to nose. You'd be surprised. he cooed. There was little he wasn't down to do, or few people to be honest. Shit, he was serious about that waitress she pointed out, he'd do her too if she covered herself up a bit. She may have taken that up as a joke, but he was as serious as Cedric can get.
So what d'you say, shall we go somewhere where we won't be disturbed? His fingers on her leg danced their way up Nori's thigh, his own way of indicating that he was now fully invested in what the night will soon bring. I promise to keep your partner waiting on you this time. With his other hand he went to cup her chin in between his fingers, gesturing that he was going to kiss her - all a teasing ruse however, instead he just held his position, hovering tauntingly in front of her. At this point he observed and did everything he believed would rile her up just enough before they were alone.
