The mention of her making food was enough to drag him away from Kevin, to which the pseudo dragon snorted a puff of smoke in detest but still napped where he lay. "... enough for two?" he was nearly begging for her to share. He was a bottomless pitt after all, always hungry, always willing to eat no matter what. Perhaps it was because when he did move and work out, it was intense, only to finish by a big meal and then a nap or a long snooze... but none the less! Food was always a necessity.
he nearly hovered over her shoulder while she cooked.
"Well someday I will need to show you my awesome circus tricks, there is no denying that you aren't just a little curious as to what I can do." He cooed, mostly too proud of himself and the intoxicating smell of food cooking lulled him a bit.
Penelope glanced over to him and tilted her head, eyeing him up and down when he made his comments about what he could do. Judging by the way that he could climb a tree, he was nimble, athletic, and seemed like he was pretty good at things that involved working out. She bit her lip slightly at the double-euphemism that she could have tacked onto his phrase, but she shook her head and laughed at him instead.
"Right. Maybe someday..." She mused, before putting a lid on the pot to pour the hot water out. She would probably use it to flavour something tomorrow if she were at home. But today she just dumped the water out into a safe area away from the tents. The trees could have it.
Once she had fed her companion and washed up after eating, she bid her newfound friend farewell and tucked herself into her tent, snuggling into the sleeping bag, with her onesie pyjamas, fuzzy socks, and plethora of cozy blankets, along with Bruce, who laid down dutifully facing the door, but still relaxed.
"Goodnight!" She called out to Flix, before closing her eyes to sleep. The world got hazy pretty fast, she didn't even hear the rain start...
Camping pasta, it was a first and it wasn't bad! It could have quite a few things added to it, like a sauce, some veggies and maybe even a meat perhaps, but he wasn't picky and Flix quickly wolfed that down too. They were camping after all, and gourmet or home cooked stuff was obviously not an option.
He was quietly admiring the stars slowly peeking out to welcome the night while laying on Kevin's belly as the Pokemon slept. His arms were crossed under his head - and a little sadness showed as Penny bid him a goodnight before shuffling off into her tent. He returned the goodnight and went back to stargazing... slowly, as the hours ticked on and the shooting stars flew by every now and then, the sound of distant bug pokemon chirping, he too was lulled to sleep.
Hours went on as Flix kept himself warm with Kevin's tail, Charizard slept as well while Flix snuggled the bunny in his arms. The first to wake up was Kevin when a drop of rain hit his nose. Lifting his head, he was obviously a little disturbed by this. In a moment, the dark clouds gathered above and a down pour woke the two of them right away.
of course Flix was worried about his pokemon partner first, throwing the blanket over the dragon's tail in a quick shelter while he grabbed the poke ball to return it; quickly gathering his things before running under the shelter Penny had built... He would certainly hear about this later.
he should have just put up a tent.
"Penny... Penny!" he was so cold already, and all wet. "I made a mistake! Please let me in..."
Penny's eyes fluttered open when she heard the noise inside her shelter. Blushing furiously at being woken up abruptly, she listened closely before hearing Flix's voice. He was worried about his charizard at first, and once she heard the familiar sound of a pokeball, she sighed softly and pushed herself out of her blankets.
When she opened the door to her tent, she couldn't help but feel bad for Flix. He looked like a drowned rattata, and he also looked... cold.
"Shit." She whispered, ducking back into her tent to put on some boots and a raincoat. She ran out and grabbed his stuff from the rain quickly, before tucking it under her shelter and taking everything out to dry, the books, clothes, food, everything. She pinned it all up with clothespins on a string and went to Flix next, motioning for him to get undressed, before handing him. a pair of spare Pyjama pants she had.
Of course they would be a little short on him, but at least he would have something until his clothes dried up. "Here." She mumbled, turning around so that she wouldn't really see anything inappropriate. Once he had handed her all his wet clothing, she hung it all up on the line, before pointing to the tent, where Bruce was waiting at the door, looking worriedly at the two of them.
"Get in, the sleeping bag should be big enough to cover the both of us." She mumbled quietly, following him into the small tent. It was big enough for the two of them, and Bruce fit comfortably inside along with them.
Crawling under the sheets, she looked away and blushed, but pulled them up to let him in. "G-get in." She fumbled, before looking over at him. "You're going to get hypothermia!" She scolded.
She came rushing out and gathered his things, although it was kind of her, his main concern was to go in where it was dry now and get all warm and toasty again. With her invite to come on in, he shuffled into the tent as quickly as he could and once she had handed him some pyjamas, he was quick to start getting undressed, despite her turning around or not.
For someone who had done nothing with a girl in his years, he certainly wasn't shy when it came to him being in the nude around them.
He pulled the pants up, which made it look like he was ready for a flood how high they rose onto his legs; and kept himself shirtless. Still somewhat cold, and just yearning for a blanket to keep all his body heat to himself, there was no arguing when she invited him under the sheets. Nearly diving in head first, he pulled the sheets up over himself and got all snug within them.
They were warm already, being previously used. They smelled nice too, just like she did. It was soothing, and reminded him of a "bed time" smell. "Don't be shy if you wanna cuddle up~" Half asleep, he was already out. Once the warmth came over him, there was no staying up at this point and he probably won't be awake until later on that morning, if not at noonish.
Only some soft snoring came from him, otherwise, Flix was somewhat of a quiet sleeper; and a heavy one. Not a thought came across his mind that he was in bed with a girl, nothing other than that they were getting real close on their first mission which made him happy! They would certainly make an awesome team... and maybe more if he would put on his big boy pants.
Penny sighed softly and watched Flix snuggle into her blankets, sniffing them and just generally being cute. This guy must have been really clueless. She blushed furiously when he asked her to cuddle, and flopped into her own little niche, staring at the back of his head.
She only noticed now the different shades of red that streaked through his locks, and the way it stuck up at the nape of his neck... Shit, did he smell like rain? She found her eyes drifting closed and she mumbled something incoherent before falling asleep.
A few moments, or maybe hours, later, she woke up to the feeling of arms around her. Her eyes flung open, but she didn't move, staring at the bare chest of the man who was now cuddled up to her like they were some sort of lover pair.
"W-what..." She whispered to herself. How did this even happen? How did she not wake up? Her heart pounded in her ears as her lungs struggled to take gentle breaths,
She could feel Bruce behind her, pushing her closer into the man, and she began to feel dizzy from the blood rushing to her face. "Bruce, you traitor..." She whispered silently, before settling herself as much as she could. It wasn't that bad... Cuddling, at least. She sighed and rested her cheek against the arm that was under her head, before closing her eyes again.
Well truth be told he had no intentions of forcefully cuddling the young woman in his sleep. He lacked his teddy and it was just a natural reaction to go ahead and wrap his arms around anything that was near by. Thankfully in this case it was a lovely young woman, and not the demon fire dog that probably would have ate his face if he had snuggled up to it in some kind of Ursaring hug.
The soft sound of rain hitting the tarp, the smell of fresh fallen rain on grass awakening the aromas of spring, the cool air and the warmth of the blanket and the company he had under them with him. it was enough to have him out for probably days if it continued like this - okay maybe some snack breaks in between naps, BUT for a long time none the less.
He didn't realize the little shock she had, the time he had woken up to notice what was going on, the sun had crept into his eye through the tent, and disturbed his slumber. In an attempt to hide himself from the sun, he hid his face into something... something soft. Something that smelled super good, like flowers; something that wasn't his bunny.
Fluttering his eye open to see the golden locks now blurring the sun, his face grew excited. She did some in to cuddle! He dug himself closer at this point, trying to be all silent and sneaky not to disturb her and for him to go back to sleep.
He will break her he will! She will accept his friendliness he thought while tightening his grasp on her just a little more, getting the feeling he just did not want to let go, ever.
