Raised in Ecruteak city, Dexter was a strange child who had the tendency to bully other children in an indirect way. Lying and scaring them to the point that many of them feared leaving the house in fear of bumping into him and getting into a situation that was less than pleasant.
His parents died when he was young in a strange CO2 gas leak in the house, in which he was out at the time and managed to avoid it. No blame was made on the leak and it was classified as an accident. Rather than staying at an orphanage, Dexter stayed on the streets and eventually joined Team Rocket.
