Stuarts first, and only liked Pokémon. Tali has a special connection with Stuart and he see's her as a person, almost like she is a friend. Her psychic abilities make it easier for the two of them to try and communicate and share emotions - for this reason Stuart refers to Tali as a person rather than a Pokémon. shepard male

Shepard was supplied to Stuart when he asked for some tools for stopping Team Rocket. Most Pokémon are nothing more than objects for Stuart to use. Therefore Shepard has a very bland personality and doesn't feel any strong connections to Stuart or other Pokémon. He sees himself as a fire and smoke breathing machine - nothing more.
