As he grew up he was in the midst of the Team Rocket takeovers, it seemed Saffron City was the hub of activity and his parent's small business was often victimized by criminals; they would place ridiculous taxes on them. For this reason Stuart became a Pokémon Ranger at the age of eighteen - he only had one friend during his childhood and it was at the age of eighteen that they both no longer had contact - there was a specific reason for this but Stuart didn't dwell on that.
He now spends a lot of his time focused on work and staying around Kanto to track and try eliminate members of Team Rocket, he decided to do this he would have to start using Pokémon.
